What is the best cricket match that you have ever watched? My favorite is the Australia v South Africa semi-final match in the 1999 World Cup.

My favorite goes with 5th ODI 2006, South Africa beating Australian mountain target of 437 in the penultimate over with 1 wicket to spare. Its a 6s and 4s fireworks all the way. Big hitting big waves.

Gibbs coming in at #3 at 5/1 in 2nd or 3rd over, scoring 175 of 111 deliveries 21 fours and 7 sixes. How can I forget. The amount of energy and excitement delivered beats other game for watching. Bad day fr the bowlers it was certainly a batsmen paradise day.

It simply HAS to be the Aus - South Africa Semi Final at Edgbaston in 1999. The second favourite is the previous match b/w the same two sides. Steve Waugh 120* , coming in with Aus 50 odd for 3 chasing 271. Do or die. Didn't think any match would come close to that, little did I know what lay in store in the semi :-)

!983 World Cup Final ( IND VS WI) is my favorite match. A lot of memories about that final.I started watching cricket just before that world cup (I was studing 3rd standard). I likedthe second innings (Indian Bowling).Sandhu gave the hope & bowled Greenidge . Greenidge lost the Off stump . Kapil Dev took an amazing catch to get rid of Dangerous Viv Richards. Madanlal & Binny bowled a very tight spell in the Middle & magical bowling by Amarnath at the end. This win transformed the Indian Cricket. After Indian win, Most of us had a water bottle in the shape of World Cup in my class
